Download FluxType from fluxtype.app, run the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions. FluxType works on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
No. FluxType processes all audio locally using on-device AI models. Your voice never leaves your computer unless you explicitly use cloud APIs in Pro.
Free includes unlimited English transcription with Whisper Base/Small. Pro adds 50+ languages, real-time streaming, Whisper Large v3, and optional cloud APIs (OpenAI, Deepgram).
Sign in at fluxtype.app, go to Account › Subscription, and click Cancel. You’ll keep Pro access until your billing period ends.
Check Windows Sound Settings to ensure your mic is set as the default device. Restart FluxType after changing settings. If issues persist, try a different USB port or microphone.
Yes! Free and local Pro models work completely offline. Cloud API features (OpenAI, Deepgram) require an internet connection.

In FluxType Pro, go to Settings › API Keys. Enter your OpenAI or Deepgram API key. Keys are encrypted and stored locally — never sent to FluxType.
