FluxType 1.1.0.

Local Arabic dictation arrives alongside more dependable models, stronger account controls, and a safer update path.

FluxType 1.1.0 expands local-first dictation with a model built specifically for Arabic speech. It also tightens the everyday details around model setup, sign-in, account control, hosted AI, and app updates.

What's included at a glance

  • A new optional Pro model for local Arabic and English transcription.
  • More reliable local-model downloads, switching, cancellation, and recovery.
  • Stronger sign-in recovery and a verified website account-deletion flow.
  • More accurate hosted-AI handling and stronger installer and update checks.

Arabic dictation, processed on your device

Pro users can now download Cohere Transcribe Arabic from Models in Settings. It is tuned for Arabic dialects and Arabic-English code-switching, and it can also transcribe English speech. Once the model is downloaded, transcription runs locally: your dictation audio is not sent to FluxType servers.

FluxType uses available GPU acceleration for faster local processing and falls back to the CPU when needed. The model download is approximately 1.5 GB, and the app verifies the downloaded files before making the model available.

More dependable local models

Model downloads, readiness checks, cancellation, and recovery have been strengthened across the app. Language defaults are clearer, switching models is safer, and an interrupted local-model service has a more resilient fallback path. Translation continues to use the supported local Whisper route, so choosing the Arabic specialist does not silently change your translation model.

Clearer account control

Sign-in now makes account selection more explicit and handles offline session recovery more reliably. If you decide to leave FluxType, the website account page now includes a verified deletion flow with a clear confirmation step. Deletion removes account-owned data and closes the associated billing relationship; local app data remains under your device controls.

Reliability and protection behind the scenes

Hosted AI now handles provider availability, retries, and usage accounting more accurately. We also strengthened installer, dependency, and update verification so release artifacts are checked more carefully before they reach the public update channel.

There are no breaking settings changes in this update. Existing users can install FluxType 1.1.0 through the normal in-app update flow. The Arabic model is an optional Pro download and is not installed automatically.

How to update and try Arabic dictation

FluxType checks for updates in the background. To check manually, open the Help menu and choose Check for updates. You can keep using FluxType while the update downloads, then choose Restart to updatewhen it is ready. New users can install the current Windows version from the download page.

The Arabic model is not downloaded automatically. After updating, open Settings → Models, choose Cohere Transcribe Arabic, and download it. The model requires Pro; you can review plan details on the pricing page.
