The Free plan includes local Whisper dictation that runs on your machine after setup. It can continue working without an internet connection. Cloud transcription and hosted AI are separate choices with their own processing and allowance boundaries.

If you dictate every day, Pro adds the workflow layer: an expanded local model library, multilingual dictation, a higher monthly hosted-AI allowance, Custom Instructions, searchable history, exports, and optional BYOK providers. Free stays unlimited for local English dictation and includes a built-in Output Styles preview; Pro is for turning speech into finished writing at daily-work scale.
